I really wanted to participate in a color challenge, I loved the colors in colourQ challenge #65, so decided to particpate for the first time!

This time I decided to do a clean card, after several "busy" cards I felt its time to make a clean one, I really wanna embrace white space, something that I know I am not so good at, but I know with practice I will get the hang of it! I used a sketch that was published in the Dec Paper Crafts Magazine, so neat. Once again I used the butterfly from Antique Background stamp set from Hero arts, can you tell I am in love with that butterfly, I embossed it with silver embossin powder. The strips of paper are from Lost and Found collection from My Mind's eye,If you ask me about the card, I can say I like it..but I need a second openion, I usually ask my DH but he is not home today,so I guess I will see what you have to say about the card, here is my card

Love and a Baby card!

Hello all!!! Its been ages since I last updated, lots of family get togethers and what not! Well, here is a quick post, couple of cards I made in the last few day. In the first card I used the "Lost and Found" pattern paper from My Mind's eye, love it, its pretty simple card, I only cut that "LOVE" glittered word and adhered it to a Pure Poppy cardstock, added a bit of ink white to creat sort of a frame. Once I was done I thought why not make a coordinating bookmark! so I used the same paper and I am pretty satisfied with the way it turned out.

The second card is a baby card, I wanted to add some of Harvest Gold CS but the pink looked just too cute by itself, so kept it as it was. The card size is 4x4 in case any one wondering.

Color Cue Challenge

It feels like ages since I made a card!'s card is for the Color Cue Challenge which is due to close in like few hours, I loved the color combo early on but didnt get to make a card sooner, for today's card I did a lot of sponging after embossing with Spellbinders impressibility, love the result, I also embossed on the white cardstock with clear embossing powder but its absolutly not showing, it looks very pretty in real life.
Maybe you are wondering, why the bad quality of the pic, I will tell you why, because my brothers has borrowed my DSLR to use it in his trip to Malaysia, so I had to use my Blackberry to photograph the card..bad I know! I have no other choice, but once he returns after one week, I will take another picture of the card and will re-post it.

here is my card...

PTI Blog Hop

Here is this month's challenge....

There is always a lot of focus on Christmas in our industry this time of year, as that is what the majority of the population celebrates. However, this month's blog hop is dedicated to those that celebrate winter holidays other than Christmas. Create a project that celebrates Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or some other winter holiday as we embrace everyone's beliefs in a celebration of diversity through paper crafting.
I decided to make an Eid card, for the first time ever I handmade an Eid card, I am happy with the way the card turned out, I have been dying to use white, pink and a lill green in a card, I am sure you guys wondering why there isn't any sentiment on the outside, you know why? coz I forgot! yeah as simple as that, after adhering all the layers I realized that I didn't print the sentiment..."duh", so what I did is I printed the "Happy Eid" sentiment in a separate paper and then adhered it inside of the card. here is my card outside and inside!

By the way, the butterfly is embossed, its such a pretty pink, unfortunately, the camera didn't capture it , the thing is I took the pictures at night, so no natural sunlight, therefore, the picture quality is not that good.

Thanks for looking!

Stamps: Butterfly dreams, Turning a new leaf.
Ink: Hibiscus Burst, Ripe avocado and Spring Moss.

Thanks Friend!

Finally I made a card! I ended up making a card that is very different from the one that I envisioned in my mind, I started with Ocean tides, kraft, Simply Chartreuse, but I ended substituting Ocean Tides with Scarlet Jewel, I am thankful for Color Cue challenge because that's where I learned to use Scarlet Jewel, prior to that I was so clueless when it came to Scarlet Jewel, really, participating in challenges helps us stretch our creativity. I am also loving Aqua mist with Simply Chartreuse! The layout is something that i just came up with while playing with the various elements of the card, I am sort of happy with the way it turned out, but some times when I look at it I feel like the Aqua mist flower is just too bright for the card, like it is not blending so well, what do you think? If I had copics I would have colored this beautiful flower.

Coincidentally, this week's waltzingmouse sketch challenge is very similar to the one I used in this card..:) weird is that?! so I am going to submit my card for their challenge, its my first time and I sure hope its not last. So here is my card..

Thank for looking!

Stamps: Distress strips, Friends till the end, Big and Bold wishes.
Ink: Scarlet Jewel, Hawaiin Shores.

Color Cue Challenge

So here is a card I made for Color Cue Challenge few days ago but just was so busy to post it before today, this card really drove me crazy!! I spent hours working on it..every time I followed a certain layout something looked off to me..until finally I decided to go with one, and I am now a happy stamper..:)..the green is a patterned paper from my stash, I am not sure which brand it is, but it is a bit brighter than Simply Chartreuse from PTI. I am also happy with the way the focal point turned out, I sponged it with Spring Moss ink and the result is really pretty!

Thanks for Looking!

Thank You Nichole and Team!

In PTI forum, the girls decided to secretly plan a different kind of a blog hop, it was a THANK YOU Nichole blog hop, a card and a post to Nichole Heady where we express our gratitude to her and her company and thank her for all that she is doing. The hop was on the 30th but God I got so caught up with this and that, that I couldn't make a card, and when I finally had some time, I was SOO nervousness, my brain just couldn't decide what color scheme to use or what layout to was crazy in my craft area, lots of cardstocks scattered here and there and lots of stamps too...I knew that it was impossible for me to make something, so I called it off and went to sleep.

Finally made a card yesterday, I cased Nichole Heady's card, I fell in love with her card, so when I was really confused about what to make, I decided that I am gonna case..:)...well here is my note to Nichole and her team...

Everday is a gift!

For a long time I wanted to emboss and sponge and yesterday I finally did it, I heat embossed and then I used Terracotta Tile ink to sponge the whole layer. its not perfect and not so neat, still I am happy how it turned out! I stamped the butterfly onto Sprin Moss cardstock, I find myself liking this butterfly more than the one with the die..:)

Here is a close up of the embossed leaf and the sponging, its not so neat like I said, I think I am gonna do this more often, I find terracotta tile ink perfect for this kind of effect!

2 Sketches 4 you!

For the first time I am taking part in 2 sketches 4 you challenge, this weeks sketch is really fun and easy. I decided to use a stamp set that I bought recently "friends till the end" I am in love with that flower, even with so many flower stamps in PTI non stood out to me like this one! I stamped the flower onto lemon tart cardstock and since I don't have copics I just used a sponge to add some shades to the flower, I am satisfied with the result. There is one thing though, after making the card a thought hit this card based off the sketch or is it just too different?..I guess I will leave it for them to decide..:)

Thanks for looking!

One more thing, I am using this card to play along  Clean &Simple Stamping challenge that I got to know about from Dana's blog.

The second card is another card that I am happy with, I had a difficulty playing with Enchanted evening so after LOTS of thinking I used sporing moss and spring rain with it, Love me some Little Argyle!.
